I tend to agree with Fr. Longenecker's review of this film. While the film is pre-Mel Gibson Meltdown, and consequently, before everything done by Mr. Gibson is criticised, not on it's merits but on his notoriety, I've always felt that the film was better than the critics gave it credit for. It's not an Oscar-winning film by any means, but it is better than they made it out to be...
