Experts: Greed fuels financial collapse

I think that there's a lot of non-experts like us out here who could have told them this. This is the single biggest reason for many of the evils in the world.

(How could anyone who lends money at 12% and gives interest on savings at one-quarter of one percent lose money? Because they make risky investments to get a quick buck, perhaps? Because they lend money to corporate welfare bums who don't pay it back, maybe? Could there be lots of reasons that could be attributable to greed involved?)

Keep your money in a sock under the bed. It's safer...
