I think it's already been done

but people will never let go of it. It's had such an impact on their lives that it's not possible for them to.

Canadian survivors call on Pope to apologize for sex abuse

This may sound callous, and it's not meant to be, but this really is a two-way street. It's one thing to be given an apology but if people choose not to forgive than there isn't going to be any healing. As long as people hang on to something it will rule their lives. And we can't wait to 'feel' forgiveness or we'll be waiting forever. Forgiveness isn't a feeling, it's a decision.

I hope they find healing...
