So much for fairness

I've just received the news that, as a result of the Job Evaluation process at my place of employment, my position is frozen essentially for the rest of my career there and my wage won't change. As I just started a new position 6 months ago I'm at the bottom of the pay scale for that position and I will have to be doing the same job, with the same responsibilities and requirements, as people who get quite a lot more money than I do due to the fact that they're frozen at the top of the scale. The Union and the Corporation have just settled the fact that I will be retiring at the earliest possible date. Good way to keep competent and concerned employees on staff, everyone. Very well done!

Now THAT'S equity!
