The Edinburgh Ras Shamra Project
This site, while dated (web-wise, that is), contains some interesting material on Ras Shamra, the modern site of the ancient city-state of Ugarit. I'm including this only for nostalgia purposes. I spent quite a few years doing research work for a professor whose speciality this was, and I got to thinking nice thoughts about it when I found this site. Historians will like it, though.
