Bible allows us to admit our bad days
It really does speak to the part that allows us to be beaten down and pleading with God to be relieved of our burden. It speaks to the unrealistic reflections people give of faith - alway grim and tight-lipped even in good times or always happy-clappy, even in bad. This article speaks to the real need to approach God when we are breaking, but we need to remember the joy that comes from living a life with God. St. Francis was a joyful saint, despite his many problems. One thing that attracted me to the Franciscans was their joy. Sometimes it gets a little strained, particularly as we experience difficulty, and we need to pray a prayer of utter reliance on God for help in a time of distress, but we also need to look for the times to be joyful in the Lord's presence and the presence of our brothers and sisters and the world around us.
