This isn't an April Fool joke. The article is from the BBC on March 22nd. John Bolton, as U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.:
"deliberately resisted calls for a immediate ceasefire during the conflict in Lebanon in the summer of 2006"
He's 'damn proud' of doing that because they were waiting for most of the Hezbollah threat was removed and only moved to help when it appeared that Israel couldn't continue. Oh, and they were disappointed with Israel.
I guess they wanted most of Hezbollah to be dead before any ceasefire came about. Might as well use another army to do it.
