Rev. Ted Haggard said that God chose Colorado Springs to be the equivalent to Evangelicals of what Mecca is to Muslims or the Vatican to Catholics. With the Evangelical world and the Religious Right shaken from scandals and political losses this New Jerusalem may well be crumbling.
